Same Experience, New Name
MOP Is Now SeaPlan
In October 2011, the Massachusetts Ocean Partnership staff and board agreed to change the name of the organization to SeaPlan to enhance its ability to advance coastal and marine spatial planning around the nation and the globe.
SeaPlan will continue to specialize in the science-based, stakeholder-informed work that facilitated the development of the nation’s first integrated ocean management plan. We are supporting the Mass Ocean Plan implementation and efforts underway to create a regional ocean plan in the Northeast. We are also reaching out to assist other areas conducting coastal and marine spatial planning.
