Northeast
SeaPlan is actively supporting efforts to develop a regional ocean plan in the northeast and is closely following the process for siting wind energy in the region.
We supported workshops held by the Northeast Regional Ocean Council (NROC) in the fall of 2009 and fall of 2010 to foster coordination and build regional capacity for the implementation of coastal and marine spatial planning that builds off individual state efforts.
We are also working with a number of partners to acquire and integrate ocean data and information into a web site and mapping application that will support efforts at the regional and sub-regional scales.
